SNU SKOOL LYFE

I've been blogging a lot about the exciting parts of my life in Korea but not about what happens on a daily basis. So......

I'm taking 5 modules in SNU, as opposed to the original 6 I wanted. I dropped (am in the midst of) one of my classes because it can't be mapped back to NUS haha

Courses that I'm taking:
Major/Core
Social Statistics
Contemporary Religions (I mapped back as a sociology module because it is taught in a sociological perspective!)

Electives (all Unrestricted Electives/UEs cos I've already fulfilled the other requirements)
Topics in Western History (basically African history)
Politics & Society
Two Koreas (Korean history)

I think I'm inclined towards taking history modules hahhaa but maybe it's the exchange syndrome or something because my brain has completely shut down and I'm not that interested in studying :/ ok I'm lazy. But on good days I love history classes because it's very fulfilling to know about the past struggles/challenges/events haha

Also, I've always wanted to take political science modules in NUS but feared they'd kill my grade so I'm taking them over here instead......but it's a different story here, the pace and all is not what I expected haha sighzz the politics class is not very...challenging? It's very introductory haha

So here goes; my normal schedule for the week

Monday
Off day~ no classes whoop

Tuesday
I have 3 classes. First class (social stats) at 9.30am, followed by another class (African history). Then I have a break until 2pm when I have my politics class!

Wednesday
Only one class, my Korean history class in the afternoon haha

Thursday
First two classes are the same as Tuesdays (these two modules have classes twice a week) and then my last class of the week at 3.30pm~~

Friday
Originally I had a class but i dropped it~ so I have freaking long weekends hahaha HELLOOOOO 4 DAY WEEKEND

Classes are all in English but I had to drop another core sociology module in the first week because they changed the class from an English taught class to a Korean taught one. -.- things like that happen haha but they're less likely to happen with a foreign prof (look out for foreign names when choosing courses!!).

Just annoyed that I only managed to take 2 sociology/core modules here haha heavy workload back in NUS next sem for me~~~~ #workdieme

Ok just a mini FAQ on the kind of courses I'm taking bahaha i'll post more next time (i want to be as informative as possible! lolol jkrowling I'll just write whatever comes to mind hahah #lazy)
