The Buster 2013: Block B + M.I.B.

Sorry my blog posts are so narrative, I would really like to post photos and a short paragraph but NAH I HAVE TO RECORD EVERYTHING DOWN. Who knows what my puny brain will retain as memories 10 years down the road? Haaaa.

Anywaaay, last Sunday, the day I did some crazy packing to move out from dorm into Yeesee's house, Billie and I went to watch a concert at night! Ahahaha it was Block B and M.I.B's collaborative concert for Christmas (no Christmas songs were involved though) and I was superz excited because hip hop yawwwwww

Anyway we were kinda late and we ran and managed to find our seats minutes before the lights started dimming haha. Since we bought our tickets last minute on a whim, we didn't exactly get good seats but they were still pretty close - it being a rather small concert venue (it was one of the convention rooms at the convention centre part of Hilton Hotel Seoul).

Female hip hop duo Lip Service started the opening act (lol they have a super funny diet song that went nyam nyam nyam~ etc hahaha) - ok I just tried to Youtube them and nothing came out -_- no wonder I had no idea who they were but they had a lot of swag for sure.


Then M.I.B came out and sang hit after hit and basically almost all their songs because they don't really have a lot of songs, them being a pretty new group ahahaha but so happy I heard my favourite 끄덕여줘! (Nod along!) nyahahahaha

And finally, Block B. They opened with Very Good !!!! whooooop

Managed to snag some great pictures using my phone because during the encore - well, with encores there's always this lull where people are unsure if there really is an encore or not so some start leaving and it starts getting a little chaotic? Anyway Block B took quite some time so Billie and me decided to run to the front and JUST WHILE WE WERE DOING THAT THE LIGHTS WENT OFF LOL. By this time we were at the side and the view, although near, wasn't that great so I grabbed Billie and we ran to the middle and there was a huge crowd of girls blocking our view cos they all wanted to get as close to the stage as possible - so we stood on the front row chairs ahahaha almost (ok but not really) eye level with Block B!! Wheeeee

Also, I'm horrible at multi-tasking. In the midst of snapping photos and videos and reveling in being so near to them, I only noticed P.O. and Zico properly - and I had no idea what was the song they were singing until Billie told me later -_-


I'm glad I went for this concert. Hip hop is my favvvvvv. Hahaha. Also, they aren't very well-known internationally (I like to call them Korean Kpop whereas the other types of groups are like International Kpop ahahaha) so who knows when I'd get to see them live again? Haha

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Hey hey hey huge backlog lol not that anyone cares but I care and I hate things not being chronological order so here's what happened two Sundays ago - when I met Connie and Billie and we spent the day together along with Yeesee and then ended it with dinner with Jianmin and her friends (whoooooo secondary school gathering ok hahaha)

We had ddeokbokki (spicy rice cakes) in Hongdae for lunch om nom nom SO GOOD feel like eating it right now hahaha after that we took a walk over to Hapjeong where the dog cafe is at! On the way we stopped for some famous honeycomb ice cream - honestly I was reminded of Sir making us eat honeycomb during DBS regatta lolol #missinghomepangs

No entrance fee, but it is mandatory that you buy a drink (I think the cheapest drink was like 6000won? haha)

The dog cafe had two sections - a small dog section and big dog section and we ended up being seated in the big dog section! The dogs were really huge and they were kinda lazy. Ahahaa we bought snacks and they came flooding over so photosssss

Take Exit 3 from Hapjeong Station and turn right! The cafe should be easily seen, the cafe's located on B1 of the building.

Aiyo I'm quite tired shall end abruptly ahaha anyway nothing much happened after that and!! It was the first time in a long time I spent an entire day with a db teammate hehe ♡ you conz

Packing

Trying to pack all my stuff to move out of my dormitory today and it's stressing the life out of me because there are so many bags?! And there are still unpacked stuff left but I'm out of bags/paper bags/plastic bags oh my god.

Even though Konrad's gonna help me move I have doubts we'll be able to make it (both of us moving the stuff) to Yeesee's place omg

Pretty in White

Lack of updates cos I've been busy finishing exams, planning/preparing for Osaka, Japan!, and meeting Singapore friends who are here in Seoul!!

These were some photos I took last Friday walking to school for my last Finals. It's been snowing pretty heavily so a lot of the school was white - but the field was mostly brown cos the snow had already started to melt!

In other news...leaving for Osaka tomorrow morning for a 5D4N Japan trip!! Back on Saturday evening and I have to pack and get ready to move out of dorm into Yeesee's house on Sunday. And Sunday night I'm going to Block B and M.I.B's collaboration Christmas (?) concert - The Buster - with Billie!! Hehe so excited cos it's the genre I love~~~~~ those rap hip hop type lol

Ok I need to pack for Japan and this is an aimless update - just know that I'm alive lol if I pack in record time I might be able to schedule a few posts hehe (hate having a backlog haha #sorrynotsorry this is my online diary I must write everything down)

Suddenly missing Thailand food a lot so I decided to upload some of the food photos i took during the trip (hahaha it was like a training camp!! food training camp lol) Ah, it was so fun - our tour guide ZL leading the way and us walking in two rows at top speed in the crowd of people towards Ban Khun Mae cos we were late for our reservation, the cheap good food at Greyhound Cafe, picking ZL and Shan up at the MRT at 6am in the morning after I finished selecting my courses for Korea in NUS (the site only loaded on NUS internet lol)......

I miss them so much!!

2AM concert: Nocturne

Surrounded by MASSIVE (lol cos they work out haaaa) guys ㅋㅋㅋ ㅎㅎㅎ

Watched 2AM's Nocturne concert at SK Olympic Handball Court yesterday, the venue was a lot more intimate than I expected so we were seated pretty near the stage despite buying tickets pretty late!! What an experience. I'm not huge huge fans of them but these concerts are definitely half the price we'd have to pay to watch them back home in Singapore. :-) Also, 2PM came to watch them as guests!! They were seated in the stands a block away from us though ㅠㅠ but we still managed to "see" them ahahaha what a night - two groups at one go!!


And I used to really really like 2PM so I was happy to see them last night hehe. Oh, and I forgot my wonderful wonderful camera (WHAT A WASTE since we were so near!!) so I only have grainy iPhone photos for yesterday :'(
