Have nothing much to write about actually (unless you want me to talk about social theories in contemporary society today? HAHA) but having mixed feelings about exams starting tomorrow...
Feel unprepared yet prepared at the same time - I just hope I emerge with presentation of answers and understanding better than the other students hahaha #bellcurvegodpleasehelpme

20 facts about me
So there was this 20 facts craze going on Instagram a few weeks back (homg time flies) and I refused to do it because I didn't want to hog people's feed with long long long captions about my 20 facts. Hahaha so.......
Since I'm procrastinating writing my mid-term essay, here's my 20 facts:
(Author's note: I shall imagine myself writing on Instagram hahahaha)
Since I'm procrastinating writing my mid-term essay, here's my 20 facts:
(Author's note: I shall imagine myself writing on Instagram hahahaha)
- I ate a whole pizza all by myself when I was in Korea.
- I can be quite OCD.
- But at the same time, I am a very very very messy girl. Making me clean my room is no easy feat hahaha
- I love reading.
- I have not read much since starting JC/University but after I got started on ebooks I've been reading a lot more now!!
- I started sailing when I was 7. Then I stopped for awhile when I was about 10/11 and started sailing again in the December of the year I was 12. Didn't stop again until I was 18 (with a one year break in between when I was 16!).
- I seem to love water sports a lot but I don't really like swimming.
- My favourite colour is blue.
- I love to eat ramen, have a recent obsession with bakuteh too but ramen is always #1.
- I can eat a lot of rice, and I can eat just rice by itself.
- I used to get into trouble quite a bit when I was younger (during primary school).
- I hate trying clothes on before buying them, even though I have realized the importance of doing so.
- I have a dog and a cat as pets!
- I get distracted very easily.
- So i am now distracted and I shall stop here bahaha

A Prank A Day Keeps The Doctor Away
Tried to prank sjy yesterday into thinking there was an app for the iphone that would allow you to send reminder messages to friends at a pre-determined timing hahahahaha super funny because I got totally ignored regarding the prank lol only entertained by a smiley face haha!!
And yes, I can do that alien thing with my tongue haha but I only acquired this talent after I put on my braces when I was younger. I had this metal bracket across the roof of my mouth which created a groove in my tongue (it's all natural and nothing's wrong with it ahah) so I could make the flower thing hahaha
I've also decided that that will be my tongue sticking out emoji from now on. A squiggly line ~ (not really like this thought, there's one special squiggly on the emoji keyboard!)

Listening to Akdong Musician and looking through my Korean exchange photos- just throw me back to Korea, please ㅠㅠ
If I could go back, I would go for all the K-indie concerts and somehow FIND my way into these concerts. I realize that I really love this genre. Although I still like K-pop a lot haha and oh yeah not forgetting all the mountains that I've yet to climb back in Korea ahhh
Slacking around as if I have no work to do at all hahaha haishhhh

The Maze Runner
![]() |
Source: http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/the_maze_runner-wide.jpg |
It's exactly my favourite kind of movie with all the thrilling bits that got me almost screaming in the cinema hahaha and grabbing the arms of my friends' on either side of me. Includes whacking them too lolol i can be quite a violent movie go-er haha. But it was so great!! And I loved the subtle humour in it.
I had read reviews about it online prior to watching and some were saying how it was a little too slow... I think I can understand that part but I don't mind it being slow, because there was just too much eyecandy!! HEHE. I love Minho, and I also love Newt haha two cutie pies. Newt reminds me of Peter Pan actually haha I think it was the same actor... like a boy-child turned into a man for this movie haha.
Overall, I really enjoyed this show and it was a Saturday well-spent. It's recess week now which means no school for a week! But it also means time to catch up on all the work I've missed in the past 6 weeks (all my half-completed readings TT) but I'm glad for this little break, and I'm glad I spent part of this little break watching such a good movie!!
Downloaded the ebook for Maze Runner, getting ready to read it (after I finish my Lorien Legacies series/but this Legacies series isn't over yet, I meant like, catching up to the latest book haha)!!! Exciting days ahead, everyone! +++++ thinking!! hahaha

Dysfunctionality
Thought I'd blog about my batchmates and teammates today haha
We celebrated Mooncake Festival (also known as Chuseok holidays in Korea) after gym training yesterday. This meant a lot of photo taking and hardly any mooncake eating or appreciation of the moon ahaha
Anyway, our dysfunctionality is quite funny. Here, I'll let the pictures do the talking hahaha
This was from last season (which is actually just July of this year haha)
Quite hilarious huh. And in a more recent example, from yesterday...
HAHAHA we're still made at the same culprit who just can't sit normally as us hahahaha even in the proper photo, her legs are still crossed the wrong way LOL /ocd speaking right now/
But all's good. This is just how we function. By getting mad at each other and not giving a f about it. Haha! Not just my batchmates... this team is also pretty weird lol
But I still love them all the same :-)
I've never talked about the ordeal on this blog so I shall just skip past it. Haha. Instead, I just want to talk about something I've learned and this new rope that I've found.
We'll get there somehow.

Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall
#victoriaconcerthall #arts #artsyfartsy #lolol #whyamihashtaggingablogpost #ithinkicuteah
I'm back~
Struggling through my many readings (I'm so screwedddd) so I decided write a post about my class field trip to Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall last Tuesday. Haha it was for a dialogue session called Let's Talk! organized by the National Arts Council (NAC) and the goal is to have anyone (it's open to public) come in and discuss various issues so this year the objective was:
1. Advocating the value of the arts together (Local)
2. Reaching out internationally (International)
I went for the second category and it was pretty interesting!! I'm supposed to write a self-reflection assignment for it (due to tomorrow homg) but I'm not getting to that just yet... Hahaha
There were loads of other students too, apparently, especially from Lasalle and can I just say that they're brilliant? I think those students were studying art management, so they were really on point with it. On the other hand, we as sociologists, we kinda saw a glimpse of our role in the arts briefly haha when the panel speakers touched on theoretical etc in order to critic and ensure quality of the arts.
I also managed to speak with one of the NAC representatives (he's pretty big up there!! He was on stage as part of the panel leading the closing discussions ok) and he said NAC is always looking for people... maybe. #possiblecareeroption #HAHA
Anyway photos!! I made my way down to the venue myself as I didn't have school in the morning. I was super early! I even sat at the mrt platform for a while to read my ebook off my phone lol i would have napped but...I'm not in Korea hahaha (yes I napped at a subway platform when I was in Korea haha I remember clutching my valuables really tightly though LOL)
Because I was early, I got myself an ice-cream sandwich for $1!! Then I received a call from my friend that the class had already arrived so I rushed to finish it real quick lol, couldn't enjoy it sitting by the riverside damn
I'm trying out a new way of editing my photos, trying to make them brighter while still retaining the fade layer over it hahaha (I'm very anal about similar looking photos, if you know me heheheh)

Interior of the Victoria Concert Hall!! |
Oh! A little about the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall...
It's actually pretty newly renovated so everything is kinda modern yet traditional...it's really a fusion haha. A lot of it is about restoration and the building (if my memory doesn't fail me) used to be stone grey but it's now a pristine white. Very pretty.
I think I remember spending some time in here for a concert of some sorts... else it was some SSO music program thing I was a part of I have rather strong memories of the stage and stuff haha I must have watched a few concerts of the orchestra during my younger, more musically-inclined days haha
Then after the whole dialogue session was over, there were some refreshments but I only have a grainy snapchat photo of it so I'm not gonna upload it haha and then I went back outside to take more photos of the place...

Bukhansan National Park
Feeling a little blue this Monday, thinking of Korea...so I decided to continue my Korea posts haha (also, my batch of friends on exchange to Korea this current sem are all writing/keeping a blog!! COMPETITION!! HAHA ok i kid ah, just kidding)
So, before Shan came to Korea, we made a point to climb one mountain together and I saved Bukhansan for her cos it's pretty accessible - ok actually no, it's all rather out of the way and we woke up really early on Saturday to get there.
And I was freezing. I think I under-dressed haha what's new (this trend is to follow in upcoming posts of my mountain climbing adventures + I'm always freezing on the way to climb mountains. I only feel better during the climb haha) but there wasn't enough time to turn back so we could only go forward!
We didn't know how to start lol so anyway if you're there, um what we did was we took the route that was on the left of the Bukhansan National Park sign. Haha and when we came down, we ended up coming down the route that was on the right of that sign.
Also, we were not appropriately attired and as snow had already begun, the ground was icy and rather slippery. I was wearing sports shoes and the woman at the information center saw my shoes and disapproved haha. Met other climbers along the way too and they also thought we were pretty crazy for climbing up the mountain in inadequate shoes. Most of them had spikes on.
Btw, when I say "climb" I actually mean..... "walk" haha but it's an upward walk so yeah. Miley says "It's the cliiiiiiimmmmbbbbbbb" anyway. HAA
And above, you can see, is the route we took! It shows the level of difficulty and steepness haha but we didn't actually make it to the top because...it was really steep and slippery. Haha.
We climbed for a bit before giving up and going back down and it was so hard to go down?? We practically slid down on our butts haha ok we squatted down and slowly moved downwards. On another note, I would like to add that Shan was wearing (albeit cui) hiking shoes and she slipped more times than me hahaha I was wearing my pair of New Balance running shoes (630v2 fyi if you're interested lolol) and I hardly slipped at all!! Despite the icy wet ground.
So anyway, this was the view from somewhere almost near the top. I think we were about less than 100m climb up from the peak.
And then we climbed back down a little more to this arch structure where we stopped to have our kimbab and water in the cold, just like the Koreans do.
(I kid, Koreans are way more prepared, they have cup noodles and hot water in tumblers to cook the cup noodles - it's an elaborate affair. I only ever brought bread and kimbab up the mountains I climbed hahaha)
Freezing cold by the time we made our way back down so we ended off with some delicious piping hot ramen!! LUV IT. MY FAV FOOD (i ate a whole lot of processed food and unhealthy stuff in Korea haha one of my fav loner meals involves microwaved rice and a packet of seaweed/seasoning lol everyone thinks I'm crazy but I love rice!!!!)
Awww brb reliving my exchange hashtags HAHAHA man it's been 33 weeks ago?! Haih
There are several ways to get to Bukhansan National Park, and this is the one we took.
There are lots of mountaineering shops in the area which you will pass on your way up to the mountain. It's pretty exciting. I recommend going on the weekend because there will be more people and it will be less easy for you to get lost! We kinda followed the crowd to find the right bus stop for the mountain when we exited the subway station haha
It might take some time travelling there so I recommend leaving early! Early bird catches the worm anyway~
Also, if I ever go back to Korea (and I sure hope I do!), I will climb Bukhansan again and this time I will make sure I make it to the top!! Haha maybe i'll try the other routes up the mountain hmm

Trick Eye Museum Singapore
#trickeye #trickeyemuseum #singapore
Long time no post!
Having been to the one in Seoul, South Korea, it was a nice surprise seeing news about the Singapore version opening on my Facebook feed. Then on opening day, I noticed many bloggers had visited the place and there was a promotion ongoing! 50% off tickets up until 22 June 2014 (sorry it's over this post is late cos I couldn't finish it before going off to training camp haha)
U.P. $25 so this was really quite a steal. In my opinion, after going through it - it was worth it especially since it was on discount. Hahaha. Some of the famous Trick Eye art/installations were there so that was a plus point! We went on Friday evening and when we bought our tickets at about 6plus 7 thereabouts, we were told that it'd be a 30 minutes wait to go in! They tried to control the crowd inside the museum or it'd be too crowded to take photos. But our wait was much shorter thanks to a stroke of good luck! Hahaha there was a friend at the front of the queue who's date had yet to arrive yet so we kinda jumped the queue and went in earlier hehehe
But overall, I thought the place was a little too small, and the "Photo Point" places were slightly off!! It'd be hard to capture the installation if one were to stand at the exact position of the photo point sticker. That said, there were some really narrow corridors towards the end (i think it was in the fairytale section) which made for a hard time to take photos. Towards the end we kinda gave up on many installations due to the crowd so we skipped on a lot of photos!
I wouldn't really recommend going since the price is now $25 haha kinda pricey for the experience (which was just okay). But if you still want to go, then I'd recommend waiting till the hype dies down and there are less people in it cos then you'll have a much better photo-taking experience :-)

Chock Full of Beans
Met up with my Jas- friends hahaha they have the same name in speaking but different spelling so I differentiate them (in typing) with their surnames! Lucky to have met and gone on a wonderful trip to Korea with them 3 years back. So great to have gone there with them on my first time to Korea haha.
We decided to go to a nice cafe so we could sit and chat for a bit after eating! Had to be near Changi Airport cos Jasy was sending her sister off afterwards so we decided on Changi Village! It was pretty crowded though because it was a weekend and during lunch hour. Also, I thought the cafe seating space wasn't very big, there was a limited capacity haha and it was operating almost always on full capacity hahaha
Ordered the famed rosti breakfast thingy but it was smaller than I expected!! I felt quite disappointed at the size because I'm quite a glutton lol but after finishing my food I felt incredibly full.
Chock Full Of Beans is also famous for their latte art, or rather, the 3D latte art!! Comes when you order iced latte, but only limited to two cups! And because we went on a weekend, we couldn't choose the design haha. They also have cute latte art for hot latte drinks!! I wouldn't mind going back down on a weekday to try my luck at getting some Rilakkuma latte art hehehe
On the other hand, I'm not a coffee drinker AT ALL so I felt super sick after finishing my Hazelnut latte! Jast and Jasy felt a little uncomfortable too haha
Check out my 3D bear sinking/drowning into the drink HAHAHAH
We took the bus out of Changi Village to Changi Airport afterwards, and had round 2 at Paris Baguette~ ending of with qt photos of us hahahah /noshamebutsorrynotsorry
